Professor Oehmke answers questions at the National Institute of Health Course on The Mathematical Sciences in Obesity Research, held in Rosemont, IL July 21-25, 2025. Prof. Oehmke’s presentation was based on his innovative research showing that child undernutrition statistically behaves as if it is a contagious disease, likely because of socio-economic ‘transmission’ vectors that enable undernutrition to move within a family and across families and individuals.
