Prof. James F Oehmke and Dr. Felecia M Nave, President and CEO of the 1890 Universities Foundation, at the Annual Meeting of the Center of Excellence for Global Food Security and Defense (CEGFSD). The CEGFSD leverages the collective capacity of all nineteen 1890 land-grant universities across 18 states to carry out work that supports U.S. national priorities by building strong food systems and securing America’s leadership in global agriculture.  The Center is one of six identified in the 2018 Farm Bill and is supported by funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Prof. Oehmke serves as a member of the CEGFSD Advisory Board.
