Prof. James F Oehmke attended the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU) 2025 Annual Meeting Nov. 9-11 in Philadelphia, PA. His three big takeaways from the meeting are: 1) APLUs today are an incredible opportunity for social mobility; 2) APLUs were created and remain committed to offering educational pathways for all; and 3) Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is highly deserving of its top-16 rank among public universities and provides an incredible set of opportunities for youth and non-traditional students from a variety of backgrounds.
